Cocaine Overdose

Cocaine is considered as one of the most abused drugs in the world. An overdose of the drug, commonly referred to as cocaine overdose, often has several serious complications, ranging from physiological impairments to psychological problems. These complications are often life-threatening, making cocaine overdose a potentially dangerous venture for those who abuse the usage of the drug.

Cocaine overdose will naturally depend on the amount of cocaine that the user will take in. Yet, other related factors also need to be considered. This will include the method used in taking in the drug, as well as the purity of the cocaine involved. Whatever factor is involved, an overdose of the drug is hazardous, to say the least.

In typical cases of cocaine overdose, the main effects are often seen in the heart as well as in the blood vessels. Also severely affected is the respiratory system. In both cases, problems will occur, often with fatal results. In addition, a host of other difficulties may be experienced, such as heart attacks, brain hemorrhage, and failure of kidney functions.

Psychological imbalances are also said to be quite common in many cases of cocaine overdose. Some of the most common of these psychological impairments are hallucinations and paranoid schizophrenia.

There is no doubt that cocaine overdose carries several very serious complications. Despite this dark reality, cocaine abusers appear to display a nonchalant attitude. What they fail to realize is that regular use of the drug will eventually lead to cocaine overdose in order to satisfy their system's ever-increasing hunger for the drug.
